Nothing much to report. No new developments in any area. Feeling a little lacklustre and stuck. Again. I have a globe next to my imac now, and some days it inspires me, today it's just depressing - all the places I'm not. Guess you can only be in one location at once - it'd be fun to have multiple selves who could live simultaneously all the lives and adventures one person can dream. Spooky about that cloned baby, Eve - that's got to be a hoax. Or the poor kid will probably die at 7, aged 65.
What else is going on - the australian government, in its infinite wisdom has spent $15 million on an ad campaign about terrorism "be alert, not alarmed. protect our way of life." crap. Nothing like breeding suspicion and fear among the community, that's really going to help. Very sad about the detention centre fires, the level of desperation to get to that point is really distressing, but it won't help the people in there, now or in the long run - get rid of them as fast as possible seems to be the response. Australia, what a great country!
Dreaming of Berlin today - at least the Germans understand just how f#@$ed little G Bush is, while our Johnny is doing everything in his power to align australia with the demented insane US military machine.
And here I am, trying to make sound from bridges into some kind of structured aural experience. Maybe chaos, chance and random cables popping is the way to go. I can't wait to hear what other people do with the sounds - and as for this masters thesis, whose crazy idea was that??? Guess I'd better stop ranting and go do some actual work. Have everything set up now to get something done, and do you think I can start? No, of course not! Melbourne's cold and drizzly and dreary today, looking forward to my trip to sydney, staying by the beach and splashing in the ocean, and hopefully Sole's party.
