Waiting for my audio tracks to bounce to disk, perfect time to fill you in on the latest activities, philosophies and mercurial changes of the Artstar!
Spent the weekend in Sydney, with a few old friends, didn't have time to run around and catch up with everyone I'd like to see, but hope to be there for an extended period in a few months. Stayed at newtown one night, good old steamy inner west, then at clovelly where I satisfied my craving for the ocean on numerous occasions. even went swimming late one night during sole's party in the most fabulous house right on the beach. many musicians played, one of whom (being an old aquaintance and prima donna) sent me into hyper cynical mode, but the others were beautiful, great to hear some of ben's new songs and lots of free-form improvising.
Volunteered for the completely totally and utterly authentic John Edward on his crossing over appearance in sydney - that man really can talk to the dead! it was phenomenal. ran around with the microphones in the entertainment centre, among 10,000 people, lots of fun.
Lisa and her flatmates (Pip and Alicia) and I had Aaron over for pancakes on monday, they were gluten and wheat free vegan banana pancakes, with organic canadian maple syrup - something for everyone!
We both had readings with Amanda yesterday, the fabulous super psychic, who clarified a few things for me, confirmed that what happened in september/october was indeed what she predicted, although was in fact nothing like what I imagined it was at the time. cryptic enough? - you'll just have to buy the book when it comes out and get the full story! she said, it's like you're standing on a mountain top, looking back at everything you've achieved in the last twelve months, and looking ahead you can't see the path you're going to take yet. But I guess I'll know it when I see it, as you do.
Lots of plans for installations and taking all this work to the next level, think I'll need to recruit a sound recordist and engineer for the next round of bridge recordings. Some of them sang like magic, others were a little recalcitrant.
Going to look for the space shuttle which is apparently flying overhead in the southern hemisphere at 9.20 tonight.
Beam me up!!!
