Excellent week! De-installed the show last friday, met some interesting people in the gallery and had the pleasure of meeting Alan Lamb (he makes music with telegraph wires), who came to my artist talk with Ros Bandt. Very much the artstar contingent of australian aeolian sound practice.

Helped out at the lollystall for the Bridal Fair with Kim, that was hilarious. Chicks with rocks everywhere, watched one of the bridal fashion shows, wondered at the insanity of the whole enterprise. I'm not one of those people who has been planning the 'big day' forever - my only wedding fantasy involves being surrounded by beautiful islander men on a south pacific beach, garlanded with flowers and handed drinks in coconuts. People tell me this isn't actually a wedding fantasy - note the lack of detail re: groom (he will be barefoot and dance all night is my only stipulation) but hey, it's the only one I've got.

Running off now to opening at Gertrude St which I hope will involve Campari, but before I go must share my very excellent news - will be moving to Sydney for 6 months next year as the Artist in Residence at ABC Radio with The Listening Room. Very exciting!!!! Now I feel like a real artist - first all those plinths and now a grant! Yay!!!
