Greetings from my fabulously romantic artist-in-exile* sorry I mean *residence retreat on Korcula Island.

It's a necessary diversion in this crazy game of hopscotch I'm playing with my life. Time out to reflect, take a long hard look at the state of my affairs and work out what to do next. Open to suggestions, offers, propositions...

Seriously though, much needed sanity restoration. Living very quietly, writing every day, walking around the gorgeous 15th Century Venetian fortress town where I'm living, watching the ship from Bari in Italy arrive twice a week, for the romance of imagining that I have someone to meet. Otherwise, a hermit life.

Waiting on various project proposals, Oh and did I mention that I'm writing my memoirs. Longhand. That's right, with pen and paper, being the post-media art girl I am. Some day my laptop will come. Until then, signing off for the evening.

Arrived in Zagreb yesterday. Very happy, it's such a beautiful city.
Feel like the full force of gravity has hit me, for the first time in over a year.
In a good way, like in musical chairs when the music stops. I'm not going anywhere. Except for the island next week. Then really not moving. aaaaah.

As this is the only part of the site that's ever updated, guess I better keep it up to date! On a stealth visit to one of my old home towns, leave in the morning for the island. Words cannot even begin to describe how much I need this time out. Maybe writing, maybe not. No pressure, no plans.

Out of energy for the whole artist peformance. Just a few last things to pack up and send out, then done with the cameo life for a while.

Spent the day moving things from one cellar to another - consolidating, getting my house(es) in order. Just the suitcase in amsterdam to relocate now, and it's all pretty much sorted for a while. Until that dream home appears, my houseboat or apartment, one day.

Absolutely shattered. Picking up the last pieces and patching myself back together on the island. This life isn't sustainable. It's insane.
