people did warn me it rains a lot in glasgow - checked the weather update and I see what they mean... wearing in my new white boots now. hope it's also raining men ;)

Glasgow Weather: Very wet tonight, local flooding, gradual improvements tomorrow. This Evening and Tonight Cloudy with rain, with some prolonged and very heavy outbreaks leading to local flooding. Minimum temperature 7 deg C (45 deg F). Tomorrow Rain becoming lighter and more showery, though western coasts will become windy. Maximum temperature 11 deg C (52 deg F).
