Based in Riga, Latvia, online since December 1997. Net.audio network, linking online radio broadcasters and sound artists, facilitating collaborative broadcast projects, experiments with audio streaming and provoking dialogue.
Radioqualia
"Frequency shifting paradigms in streaming audio". Online radio station and resource since February 1998. Concerned with sonic exploration, net casting and speculative art discourses, radioqualia is an excellent resource for the work of Australian sound artists and intriguing web-based audio works.
Kunstradio
Kunstradio has been broadcasting radio art since December 1987 and contains a comprehensive archive and current sound works. Also exhibiting a project documenting the development of sound and media arts in Austria in the 70's and 80's exhibition RE-PLAY
Irational Radio
Has an excellent site explaining simply and in detail all the technical information you need to set up a pirate radio station or become a net broadcaster. DIY site facilitating public intervention on the airwaves.
AudioHyperspace
Comprehensive and intriguing monthly audio journal AudioHyperspace is a selected and annotated link list on network/web based audio and audio art. Interactive Audio Art in hybrid spaces, part of the radio art online programme of Southwestgerman Radio SWR.

A not-for-profit new media collective dedicated to "developing global pathways, real or virtual, connecting artists, institutions and audiences" publish a bi-monthly sonic exhibition space Audiophile, which presents experimental audio work by artists from around the globe in a fairly serious format.
Silophone
"Sonic inhabitation of Silo #5."is web-based audio project using a grain silo, microphones and internet to enable users to play the instrument remotely. Play the Silophone - june 2000 - June 2001
Radio Internationale Stadt
Radio Internationale Stadt, was a sound archive for the audio work of independent artists. Recently hacked, losing all collected audio works. Hopefully back up soon. "Orang represents a new generation of radio - unlike conventional radio systems that only work with the transmitter/receiver broadcasting, orang is an open audio archive system, based on the internet"

International Festival of Streaming Media, which took place in Amsterdam, 6 - 8 October 2000. 'net.congestion' presents and explores the use of streaming media as an artistic and tactical (social / political) medium, and analyses the points where artistically challenging work and socially relevant content meet.
